 General Cosplay RulesAll cosplay-related rules are subject to change at any time, and may change during the convention due to Kalahari's policies. - Dress Code: All cosplayers must wear the following articles at all times while inside the convention center:
Clothing: This is a family friendly event. No costume is considered No Costume. Absolutely no nudity. Swimwear worn inside the covention center must be DRY. Please ensure that all costumes are properly secured at all times and are not prone to “indecent accidents”
Footwear: To ensure your safety, please wear shoes at all times. If your character is barefoot, please wear a minimum of flip flops or sandals with your costume. You may take your shoes off in the water park area, but you MUST wear them inside the building at all times. Skates and rollerblades are prohibited. Sneaker-skates my not be worn as a skate, but as a sneaker at all times. Colossalcon will not be held accountable for any damages or injury that occurs due to inadequate or improper footwear.

- Mock or Play-fighting is not allowed in the hallways and convention area. Wielding or handling weapons or props in a way that could potentially cause harm to others is prohibited, whether there was an intent to harm others or not. Mock-fighting is allowed on stage during cosplay events but must be carefully rehearsed and in a slower motion than you would normally use.
- Large Costumes: Please be sure to keep all large costumes contained. Costumes may not extend more than 18 inches in any direction unless it can be contained or folded up. You must have a handler at all times when inside the convention area. Large costumes or Large parts of costumes are not allowed inside the dealer's room due to blocking the flow of traffic and other hazards.
- Sign Policy: All signs must be related to your costume in some way, or have an intended purpose such as advertising an event or a meeting area. “Hug me”, “Will hug for Pocky” or other signs of this nature will be considered solicitation and will be confiscated.
- Picture taking: Do not stop for pictures in hallways. Please go outside, to a non-crowded area, or to the designated picture taking area for photo-ops. Do not block doors, ramps, exits, corridors, lobbies, aisles, or driveways while taking pictures as per Kalahari's rules. Flash photography is prohibited during the Friday night cosplay and the Saturday Masquerade.
- We reserve the right to remove you from the convention and/or cosplay events at any time. If for any reason we feel that your actions pose a threat or hazard to others while at Colossal Con, we will ask you to stop or you will be removed from the convention immediately. If Colossal Con staff feels the offense is serious enough, we have the right to revoke your badge and access to the convention area. We simply ask you to be courteous towards others at all times.
