So if we have a table top gaming room, what games would you want to play and what games can you run?

I'd be happy to run a Formula De, Settlers of Catan, or a Risk game when I don't have other duties to attend to.

Risk and Monopoly would be fun except for the fact that the last time i played either my friends and i called it a tie after about 8 hours of playing and i just dont see that happening at a Con with you missing all those panels
As for games that i could run would be Risk M:TG DnD 3/3.5edi...(not good enough knowledge of 4th yet) Settlers of Catan...(although I don't have the 5-6 expansion) Apples To Apples and if i can find it Axis&Allies (worldwar2 version of Risk)
And as a second thought someone or all of use should make Con(Mon)opoly

First off, I'm all for gaming at the convention this year. We have tried to offer it at convention's past in one form or another, with some years having more offerings then others. We used to have a gentleman on staff that used to be president of a local game club near here, who would load up the back of his car with board games and hang out all weekend. The last two years he has been unavailable do to first getting married and then welcoming the birth of his daughter. This year, hopefully his schedule will allow him to once again, bring the trunk of games.
That all being said, as of right now there is no set space that would allow us to have an official table-top game room. This may or may not change between now and the convention, and if it does, we will be sure to notify our attendees.
However, we do have a workable solution to this. The hallway space at the Kalahari is massive, and there are countless table and chair set ups all throughout them. One area, called the Grand Hall and can be viewed on the Kalahari's website, is particularly large. We are requesting more tables and chairs to be set up in that area, just to create a large space for attendees to rest and hang out in. This space could easily be used to play pick up games of various table-top and ccg's, and we could attempt to run a "rent-a-game" center for game access.
Now, before we begin work on setting this up, is there interest? Do you as attendees think this is a good or workable idea? Any thoughts and comments on it are welcomed, and we will of course keep you posted on any and all developments in the realm of table-top gaming.

A designated area for card and board gaming is nice and will help keep other hallways clear of people just sitting. I would maybe label tables for gaming and tables for chillin
