Well there must be a topic about one of the most popular multiplayer games around

I love brawl with an insane passion and have been playing the smash brothers series since it first came out on the 64 (I have had it since I was a kid so it's like little kids and computers versus old people and computers, muhaha)
My absolute favorite character is sheik! I was so relieved when I found out she was coming to brawl, back in the "update every day" stage of the smash bros site I was freaking out a little bit. I actually played as pichu back in melee (my wtf character who I was actually pretty good as XD) in brawl I also really like to play as zero samus.

Since I'm in college I really don't get the chance to play games so I'll be quite excited to spend time in the game rooms beating people ;P After all, I think it is the one "tournament" game I am excessively good at so I am a bit competitive in it~

How long have you been playing smash brothers? Which character(s) do you play as? How good do you consider yourself at it?

I've also been playing since it came out on the N64. Characters include Ness (or Lucas), Toon Link (or Young Link), and Ike are my favorites, but i'm pretty good with them all. I consider myself a threat to all those who think they're the best at it! XD

I'd love to participate cuz I love video games, but I srsly for the life of me play this game. .______. No matter how much I try, the stupid character keeps doing stupid stuff to kill it's self. D: If someone taught me I'd play >:D

At every con I tend to enter a Brawl tournament. Trying to stay away from Brawl most of this year it's a chance this may not happen. I've been playing Smash since its original 64. If the tournament is small this year then I'll totally enter it! I'll be playing as Mr. Game and Watch most likely. This year probably at my hotel I'll drag my Nintendo Wii along and maybe Friday night people with controllers and such can bring them and we can Brawl all that night and Saturday night if extremely bored. There is also Thursday night, so this being said hope to see you guys there!

Many people seem to believe that captain falcon was "ruined" in brawl. I know I had a few friends who were really good as him in melee but everyone seems to have stopped in the new game. o_o

speaking or brawl, I believe we're gonna do something crazy with the tournament this year, not quite sure on the exact details since I haven't thought of them yet, but it will definitely include smash orbs.

I love playing Super Smash Brothers, though I'm not that good at it. ^.^' My boyfriend and I sometimes play together if we're just hanging around the house. He's a lot better than me and plays Kirby and I play Zelda although I'm trying to learn a little of Olimar with no luck T__T

I've never been in a real tournament because I get very nervous playing against people I don't know. My palms get clammy and I start shaking and @___@ But my younger brother and my boyfriend will probably both enter the tournament and last year at Colossalcon they both made it to (I think) the third or fourth round.

You should ask my friend Matt on how to play Olimar. He asserts himself as one of the best Olimar players in the US. XD

Oh ho ho~ Lemme tell you a think or two about Captain friggin' Olimar, Benswan. He's a manly man. He's got a wife and two kids. He's an explorer as well as an adventurer. He loves a little mystery but also truly enjoys a night sitting around the house. He's a hard worker, ya know? A real, dedicated member of the working class. Indeed, he is the working class hero. I say all of this to help you understand the magnificence that is Sir Olimar.

Am I one of the best? Maybe. No one really knows. I'm tough and going through a tough training regime lately to improve my skills. I have a tournament today so let's see just how much I've improved. Hurray for probably winning another tourny and giving our favorite little space man more credit.

As for your friend? I can show her a few tricks. Gotta have a feel for him though. One cannot simply PLAY Olimar... they must BE Olimar. Become that working class hero and you shall understand the depths and the magnitude that is... Captain Olimar.

That sounds pretty tough. I mean, I'm not too good at being a lil' bald dude that runs around throwing poor little living vegetation around. But I always wanna try something new ^.^

I'm not that good at brawl, but good enough. I would love to see a tourny going on at the con, and definitely will bring it to play if we can get it hooked up right.

Ruined? Nah. The might have reduced the area in which you can connect with the FALCON KNEE!!!!, but it still hits, and will send people flying. (that means no more REVERSE KNEE!!!!) There were some tweaks here and there (he can slide while using smash attacks, seems a bit heavier and doesn't jump as high or as far, bit slower, a few attacks do less damage, a few attacks have greater/lesser range) but he's pretty much the same character. Besides, they gave him a reverse PAWNCH!!!!.

And I've never been one to follow the crowds in multiplayer games. Let them call Falcon ruined. When A Pink Falcon shows up online, and he's name is SEXY, then they shall see the fury.

As much as I would like to play a game or two there, I doubt I will unless they set aside a time/place for an "items on/casual play" session.
